BRINGING TOTAL JOINTS TO YOUR ASC

Why Now?

In the 2021 Impact of Change® forecast, healthcare research company Sg2 predicted outpatient growth of more than 30% for orthopedics and spine through 20291.

Sg2 also identified a significant drop in commercially insured inpatient non-fracture hip replacements from 77% in 2019 to 35% in 20201.

Payers have been driving total joint procedures to the ASC due to the cost savings realized while maintaining excellent clinical outcomes2. In 2021, CMS approved total hip replacements in the ASC setting.

Dr. Charles DeCook briefly discusses driving value through patient satisfaction.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Mizuho OSI provides on-site in-service training for surgeons and OR staff to provide your team with instructions on operating the table and optimizing room set up. It is required that personnel using this device and related accessories receive training by either Mizuho OSI or by someone qualified by the medical facility to provide this training. To schedule an in-service, please contact your Mizuho OSI account manager.

STAFF TRAINING

You may also want to consider running through a mock case before your first surgical case. You’ll want your surgeon along with the staff who will be supporting your hip replacement cases to participate. During this mock case you’ll run through all the elements of the case from the time of patient arrival to post-op.
