The Mizuho OSI Orthopedic Education Course is a two-day lab that provides surgeons with the hands-on experience and knowledge they need to effectively use the Hana® Orthopedic Surgery Table. The course will be led by experienced orthopedic surgeons who have integrated Mizuho OSI specialty orthopedic surgical tables into their practices.
Ideal Participants
The course targets surgeons with experience in orthopedic surgery who are interested in the Mizuho OSI Hana Orthopedic Surgery Table.
Course Format
The course will be a two-day training dedicated to providing comprehensive insight into Mizuho OSI’s Hana Orthopedic Surgery Table. Following an introductory lecture, participants will engage in hands-on demonstrations of diverse surgical techniques. Our experts will showcase Hana’s features and benefits, emphasizing their role in improving patient outcomes.

Joseph Schwab, MD
Joseph Schwab, MD, FAAOS, FAOA, is an internationally recognized leader in hip surgery and orthopedic research. His clinical expertise is in hip preservation and reconstruction, and he is internationally known for his educational efforts with anterior approach total hip replacement. Dr. Schwab currently directs research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and is the 2025 Anterior Hip Foundation (AHF) president.
Charles M. Lawrie, MD
Charles Lawrie, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Lawrie specializes in adult hip and knee joint replacement surgery, including hip resurfacing, anterior approach hip replacement, robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement, and revision joint replacement. Dr. Lawrie is actively involved in designing and developing technology and implants for hip and knee replacement. He also focuses on clinical research and training fellows. Together, Dr. Lawrie and his patients develop a tailored solution to their unique problems and situations to help them achieve their goals for recovery. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
