Standard Component Installation and Adjustment Prior to procedure set up, refer to the Standard Component Installation and Adjustment section and complete the required steps. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP View Spine Top Installation Cervical Management Base Unit To mount the Cervical Management Base Unit, first ensure the T-Handles on the Table Adapter Assembly are completely unscrewed and the Horizontal Slide is in its retracted position, with Slide Locking Lever tightened. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Installation Tip Place the Table Adapter Assembly over the top of the Crossbar of the Trios Base, and lower it into place. Tighten the two T-Handles on the bottom of the Table Adapter Assembly, securing it to the Crossbar. Radiolucent Skull Clamp Adapters If using a Radiolucent Skull Clamp, the appropriate Radiolucent Adapter must be used. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Adapter Removal To switch adapters, loosen the knobs on the Transitional Arm of the Cervical Management Base Unit until the Arm can be removed. Insert the appropriate adapter with the ball joint facing the foot-end of the table. Re-attach the Transitional Arm, align the starburst and tighten the knobs. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Assembly Tip The components of the Cervical Management Base Unit have a starburst locking mechanism. Ensure that all teeth of the starburst are aligned and the corresponding knob is properly tightened when assembling or repositioning the device. All knobs should be tightened by hand; do not use a wrench. Chest Support Plate and Chest Pad Attach the Chest Support Plate by releasing the Velcro^® straps and orienting the Chest Support Plate on the rails in the desired location. Secure with the Velcro straps. Attach pad to the Support Plate. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Patient Instructions With ideal positioning the Chest Pad should support the patient such that the load is borne predominantly by the sternum. When the patient is positioned correctly, the top edge of the pad should rest below the patient’s anatomical landmark, the suprasternal notch. Combination Hip/Thigh Pads Place the Pad Bracket on the Spinal Top rail, slide it into place, and lock the lever. When positioned correctly, the patient’s anatomical landmark, the iliac crest, lies in the top third of the Pad. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP 4 Optional - Individual Hip and Thigh Pads Select the appropriate size Hip Pads (Small, Medium, or Large) considering the patient’s weight and girth. Slide the hip pad bracket into place on each side of the Spinal Top rail and lock the levers. Attach the right and left thigh pads to the frame such that they abut the hip pads, and lock the corresponding levers. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Patient Instructions When using the Combination Hip and Thigh Pads, the patient’s iliac crest should lie in the top third of the Pad. When using the separate Hip and Thigh Pads, the patient’s iliac crest should be centered on the Hip Pad. Leg Boards Attach two Leg Boards using the Velcro straps. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP 5 Optional - Leg Sling Use of the Leg Sling allows for a greater degree of hip and knee flexion by allowing the patient’s knees to be lowered below the spinal frame. When the sling is used, it is recommended that the thigh pads not be used. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP + Patient Care Kit Application Place the Patient Kit Covers on the Chest, Hip, and Thigh Pads. Smooth the surfaces. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Patient Instructions Ensure patient’s anatomical landmarks are aligned with support pads and log roll the patient to a prone position. Secure patient with the buttocks strap and 60 inch (152 cm) safety strap. VIEW NOW CONTINUE WITH SETUP Application Tip To attach the Skull Clamp to the Coupler II, align the starburst of the Clamp with the starburst of the Adaptor and tighten in place with the corresponding knob. Ensure the teeth of the starburst on both the device and the adaptor are not misaligned so they can be tightened securely.
